Since 1996 web-based dialogues have engaged thousands of people in discussions to solicit input and expand public engagement. The Obama administration's commitment to transparency and expanded public engagement presents new opportunities and challenges. This WebDialogue community is designed to discuss how web-based communication can evolve to most effectively support public engagement and host agency goals.Our first topic examined aspects of GREAT web-based engagement. A summary of that discussion has been published in EPA’s Fall 2009 Public Involvement Network News.
