November 29 - December 2, 2005 More than 270 people from all over the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence basin took part in the International Joint Commission (IJC) Web Dialogue on the review of the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement, which ended on December 2005. The IJC wishes to thank everyone for their valuable and thoughtful contributions. The IJC undertook this Web Dialogue as part of a public consultation, requested by the governments of Canada and the United States, to identify issues for the governments to consider in their forthcoming review the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement. The IJC held public meetings in 15 communities in the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence River basin and received comments by phone, fax, e-mail, mail and online. More than 4,100 people and organizations took part. The IJC has now released a report synthesizing all the views it has heard and has submitted it to the governments, along with the record of the consultations. The report is available at IJC's website. For more information, visit www.ijc.org/glconsultations. You will be able to consult the full dialogue at this url until December 2008.
